Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced Emergency Room
• Triage and assess patients with varying acuity, from minor injuries to critical trauma
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and interdisciplinary team to deliver timely interventions
• Manage life-saving procedures for conditions like stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac emergencies
• Monitor telemetry and interpret ECG rhythms accurately for early detection of changes
• Float to other qualified units as needed, demonstrating versatility and teamwork

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications
• PALS or ENTC certification preferred
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation and Paragon EMR
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress environment with a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing, trauma care, and rapid assessment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary staff
• Comfortable using Paragon EMR for charting and documentation
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Adaptability to flex between fast track and main ER as needed
