Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, rotating holidays; self-scheduling available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Triage patients efficiently in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
Administer medications and manage drips such as Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, and sedation agents
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, mid-levels, and techs
Respond to codes and rapid responses, assist with chest tubes and intubations
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) within three attempts before starting contract
Experience in a facility with similar patient volume, trauma level, and size required
Ability to work in a shared governance environment and precept when needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in advanced dysrhythmia recognition and ECG interpretation
Skilled in trauma assessment, rapid transfusions, and ventilator management
Knowledge of Emergency Department workflows, including triage and vertical care
Experience with PulseCheck or Picis EMR preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
