Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in the Emergency Department
• Provide high-quality nursing care including medication administration and clinical monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to coordinate patient plans
• Respond to emergencies with calm, evidence-based interventions and efficient care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support recovery and safety
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ED workflows and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligible to obtain licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in Emergency Department / ER nursing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing best practices
• IV insertion and medication administration skills
• Cardiac monitoring and basic life support interventions
• Clinical documentation and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize care for multiple acute patients
• Compassionate patient and family communication under stress
