Roles & Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients presenting to the Emergency Department to prioritize care
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, techs and other team members to deliver coordinated care
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in the electronic medical record accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — NH license preferred (compact license accepted where applicable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Emergency Department nursing experience preferred; strong clinical judgment in acute settings
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willing to obtain
• Reliable professional references and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients and prioritize effectively
• Proficient in medication administration and emergency interventions
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and the care team
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Calm under pressure, decisive, and team-oriented
