Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-08-2026

End Date: 09-07-2026

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts including Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM; Mids: 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM; Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Self-scheduling for 4-week blocks with manager balancing. Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks (Fri/Sat nights, Sat/Sun days)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver fast-paced emergency care in a bustling 18-bed ED handling 85-115 patients daily
Manage diverse cases from correctional patients to indigent populations with 1:4 ratios
Collaborate with ED techs, midlevels, LVNs, and in-house hospitalists
Utilize vents and Phillips tele for critical interventions
Float between nearby facilities as needed to support team efforts

Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
Teamwork-oriented mindset for high-volume environment
Comfortable as primary job commitment

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Experience with vents and telemetry
NIHSS assessment skills
Handling fast-track and ICU-level patients
