Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
Assist in open heart procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting and valve repairs
Scrub and circulate for endovascular surgeries such as TAVR and thoracic procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor patient vitals and manage intraoperative equipment
Participate in call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Colorado
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR experience
Experience with open heart and endovascular surgeries
Ability to scrub and circulate in a fast-paced CVOR environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
Proficiency in using Epic EMR
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-acuity setting
