Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating weekends (3 weekends in 4-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery patients including post-op recovery, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and transplant patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage high-acuity patients with 1:1 or 1:2 ratios
Float to other ICUs or Tele units as needed, ensuring seamless patient care
Perform bedside procedures, maintain sterile field for central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy in a fast-paced Level I Trauma center

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level I Trauma experience required
ICU experience required, CVICU experience strongly preferred
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
Strong IV skills and ability to manage complex patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing, especially cardiac and cardiothoracic care
Proficient with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
Experience with IABP, CABG, ECMO, and CRRT preferred
Excellent assessment and sterile technique skills
Ability to float and adapt to different unit environments
