Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to cardiac surgery patients, including post-op recovery and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Manage life-support equipment like IABP, CRRT, and ECMO with confidence
Perform sterile procedures such as central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Collaborate with intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists in a high-acuity environment
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units, ensuring seamless patient care across the hospital

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with CVICU preferred
Level I Trauma experience is a must
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Comfortable with IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and temporary pacemakers
Own vehicle required for travel teams

Knowledge & Skills

Expert-level cardiac surgery recovery knowledge
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and telemetry interpretation (Phillips)
Strong IV skills and ability to maintain sterile field
Experience with Cerner EMR and documentation
Understanding of transplant nursing and thoracic surgery care
