Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Woodsville, NH
Start Date: 04-08-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed). Orientation required beginning 04/08/2026.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health nursing care across the unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status and response to interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
- Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to support patients
- Participate actively in orientation and ongoing learning to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional behavioral health certifications a plus
- Comfort working in a behavioral health setting with strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Reliable, professional, and a team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of psychiatric and behavioral health nursing principles
- Medication administration and monitoring in a behavioral health setting
- Skilled in therapeutic communication and patient de-escalation
- Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
- Strong teamwork, problem solving, and situational awareness
