Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Woodsville, NH
Start Date: 04-03-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed by facility) - RN - BHS
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting
- Assess patient needs, observe behaviors, and communicate changes to the care team
- Implement care plans and therapeutic interventions consistent with facility protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care
- Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately and promptly
- Support a safe environment through de-escalation techniques and adherence to safety procedures
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required)
- Experience or training in Behavioral Health (BHS) or related settings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Professionalism, empathy, and commitment to patient-centered care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and common interventions
- Ability to perform mental status assessments and monitor behavioral changes
- Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
- Skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
