Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all activities of the Radiology program to ensure high-quality imaging services
• Track radiology studies to ensure proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and support to staff and troubleshoot transcription issues
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and quoted as required by regulations
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures to meet regulatory and accreditation standards
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program for staff exposed to radiation
• Work with finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify revenue improvement opportunities
• Lead quality assurance and quality control activities and prepare required reports
• Perform lead apron testing and ensure staff competency for radiologic exams
• Supervise radiology staff, perform evaluations, and foster a strong team environment

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) - required
• Registered Mammographer - preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist - preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - required
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Knowledge of MQSA requirements and federal/state/accreditation regulations relevant to radiology services

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of PACS and digitized imaging workflows
• Experience with radiology equipment maintenance and lead apron testing
• Familiarity with radiation protection monitoring and radiation safety practices
• Chargemaster familiarity and ability to work with finance for revenue capture
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and technical writing for manuals and policies
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff and ensure competency
• Comfort working in multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
• Ability to multi-task, learn new imaging exams, and collaborate with clinical leadership
