Shift Type: Primarily day shift (typically weekdays), 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; call required with alternating weekends (approximately 14-15 days/month); day shift coverage with on-call nights as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub cardiac catheterization cases and assist the interventional team during procedures
• Monitor patients and cath lab equipment throughout procedures to ensure safety and quality
• Respond to STEMI calls and participate in the on-call rotation when required
• Document procedures and patient care accurately using MacLab and Meditech
• Operate and support advanced cath lab equipment such as GE X-ray systems, Impella, IABP, IVUS/OCT, and FFR/RFR
• Collaborate with RNs, techs, and physicians to maintain efficient room turnover and patient flow
• Support patient transport and handoffs to partner hospitals as needed

Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
• ARRT certification or RCIS credential preferred/acceptable
• Current ACLS and BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience with scrubbing cases and STEMI call exposure
• Comfortable with call responsibilities and alternating weekend coverage
• Ability to use MacLab and facility EMR (Meditech) for case charting

Education

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT) or RCIS certification
• ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac catheterization procedures and cath lab monitoring
• Experience scrubbing IR and EP cases is a strong plus
• Familiarity with GE X-ray equipment and invasive support devices (Impella, IABP)
• Hands-on experience with intravascular imaging and physiology tools (IVUS, OCT, FFR/RFR)
• Strong patient monitoring, critical thinking, and team communication skills
• Comfortable charting in MacLab and navigating Meditech workflows
