Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and efficiently to support patient care
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper shielding for patients and staff
• Position patients and operate radiology equipment with professionalism and attention to detail
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and imaging records for clinical teams
• Collaborate with nursing and correctional healthcare staff to coordinate patient care
• Inspect and maintain imaging equipment, reporting issues promptly to keep operations running smoothly
• Provide compassionate patient communication while working in a secure facility setting

Qualifications

• RADT classification (Radiologic Technician) as required by the posting
• Current state radiologic technician licensure or certification as applicable
• ARRT registration preferred or equivalent credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable working in a correctional facility environment and following facility-specific protocols
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-player attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (Associate degree preferred) or equivalent RADT training

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with general radiographic procedures and patient positioning
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and proper use of protective equipment
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot standard radiology equipment
• Familiarity with imaging documentation and electronic health records
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations and clinical teams
• Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain patient confidentiality in a secure setting

This is a travel contract position in beautiful Crescent City, CA.
