Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with care, precision, and a patient-first attitude
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images
• Ensure image quality, accurate labeling, and proper documentation for each study
• Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control practices at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other team members to support patient care
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills sharp and current

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
• ARRT certification preferred or registry-eligible (include documentation during onboarding)
• Current Louisiana state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
• Strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and ability to work a 9.5-hour clinical shift

Education

• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Completion of program prerequisites and clinical competency requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and patient handling with compassion
• Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems (RIS) for image management
• Solid understanding of radiation safety principles and quality control
• Good communication skills for interacting with patients and clinical teams
• Basic computer skills for charting and imaging workflows
