Location: Marrero, LA

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Day shift, 8.5-hour shift (exact start/end times to be confirmed by the facility); schedule details to be provided at interview
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with precision and compassion
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring safe and effective imaging
- Position patients accurately and explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety
- Assess image quality and collaborate with radiologists to obtain diagnostic images
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the medical record system
Qualifications
- Current state licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred)
- Completion of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical radiology setting preferred
- Strong patient care skills and excellent communication abilities
Education
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with digital radiography systems and PACS workflow
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control
- Ability to follow physician orders and imaging protocols
- Attention to detail for image quality and documentation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
