Roles & Responsibilities

Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering personalized care to residents at Compass Park
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and other interventions to improve patient function
Accurately document patient progress, treatment notes, and outcomes in the facility record
Collaborate with nursing, therapy colleagues, and families to support coordinated care plans
Maintain safe treatment areas and properly clean and manage equipment

Qualifications

Credentialed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or PTA program graduate (state licensure/certification as applicable)
Open to all experience levels — any experience accepted, including new grads (explicit in posting)
Comfort working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered, compassionate approach
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) recommended or required per employer policy

Education

Associate degree or completion of an accredited PTA program (typical requirement; check employer for specifics)

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with SNF clinical workflows and resident-centered therapy
Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and assistive device use
Clear, timely documentation and charting skills
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
Good clinical judgment, safety awareness, and infection control practices
