Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional mobility and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands-on and therapeutic interventions to maximize independence and mobility
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of therapy equipment and assistive devices
• Participate in discharge planning to support patient transitions and community reintegration

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable working in an inpatient/rehab setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Travel healthcare experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic exercise skills for adult rehabilitation
• Knowledge of gait training, balance interventions, and ADL retraining
• Skilled documentation and outcomes tracking in electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to prioritize caseload and work efficiently in a fast-paced rehab environment
