Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in the acute care hospital setting and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions across orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary presentations
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, COTAs and rehab techs
• Document patient progress and plans accurately using Cerner PowerChart
• Use safe patient handling and lifting equipment such as SARA+, Stedy and Maximove
• Communicate evaluation results and care goals clearly with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy
• BLS certification (required)
• At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred
• Comfortable with inpatient documentation systems, especially Cerner PowerChart
• Ability to work the scheduled Friday through Monday shifts and function in a busy acute care rehab environment

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient evaluation and individualized care planning
• Experience with acute care procedures and working in an inpatient rehab setting
• Clinical knowledge in orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary therapy
• Skilled in safe patient handling and assistive devices and equipment
• Strong documentation, communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to supervise and coordinate therapeutic services
