Roles & Responsibilities

Collect specimens from patients with care, accuracy, and professionalism
Perform blood draws and other specimen collection techniques safely
Obtain and process specimen results working in the back lab area
Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation for every specimen
Provide clear, kind communication to patients during collection
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
Collaborate with lab and clinical teams to support timely patient care

Qualifications

Active Hawaii State License (required)
Ability to perform specimen collection and draw specimens from patients
Comfortable working rotating 8-hour shifts and weekends, totaling 40 hours/week
Strong patient interaction and communication skills
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality

Knowledge & Skills

Specimen collection best practices
Patient interaction and bedside manner
Specimen processing and result retrieval workflows
Infection control and laboratory safety procedures
Accurate documentation and attention to detail
