Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Specialty Clinic team to deliver safe, high-quality outpatient care
• Optimize clinic workflows to improve throughput, reduce wait times, and enhance the patient experience
• Partner with leadership to coordinate scheduling, referrals, and access across specialty services
• Ensure policies, procedures, competencies, and infection control practices are current and consistently followed
• Monitor key performance metrics and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Oversee staffing, recruit and orient new team members, and address employee relations as needed
• Maintain Joint Commission readiness and support clinic equipment and supply management

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of varied RN clinical experience, including at least 1 year in ambulatory care
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in health care
• Valid, current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or ability to obtain Alaska licensure within 6 months
• Active BLS certification required
• Clinical competency and manager competency to be completed within 3 months of hire
• Ability to stand for long periods, move/lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks of the role

Education

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong team leadership and change management skills
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, and clinic flow optimization
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality assurance processes
• Clinical assessment skills and competency in outpatient nursing procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication and conflict resolution
• Comfort with clinical and electronic systems and medical equipment
