Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit
- Take and document vital signs and basic clinical measurements
- Assist providers during exams and patient procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
- Accurately document patient information in the chart or EMR
- Participate in orientation activities and support a smooth onboarding
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
- Comfortable taking vitals and performing basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication and patient service skills
- Ability to work 4-hour shifts and attend orientation as scheduled
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of infection control and basic clinical procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinic
- Attention to detail when documenting patient information
