Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Room and screen patients for providers with warmth and professionalism
Perform optical and point-of-care lab testing to support accurate diagnoses
Assist patients with frame selection, measurements, and dispensing glasses or contacts
Acquire and document ocular imaging including photos, OCT, and visual fields
Manage inventory, order supplies, and keep the clinic running smoothly
Coordinate referrals and scheduling to ensure patients receive timely care
Handle phones, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Current BLS certification
National Medical Assistant certification required
At least one year of medical assistant experience
Flu vaccine required before start

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

Strong attention to detail and clear communication
Customer service excellence with patients of all ages
Ability to learn optical and imaging skills on the job
Comfort with documentation and timely record-keeping
Team collaboration and adaptability
