Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver precise radiographic and sonographic exams across all body parts for accurate diagnostics
Apply expert judgment in radiation protection while tailoring procedures to patient needs
Maintain meticulous patient records and drive departmental quality assurance
Perform specialized mammography procedures including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsy, and specimen radiography
Handle CT scans with equipment care, invasive procedure assistance, and contrast management
Pursue ongoing education, rotate shifts as needed, and step up in supervisory absence
Respond to on-call within 20 minutes and adapt to additional imaging modalities

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography
BLS certification within 45 days of start
Clinical Competency within 3 months and every three years
Experience performing diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Willingness to perform 100 mammograms per year and pursue 5 CEUs annually

Education

ARRT certification levels based on modalities: Tech I (one modality), Tech II (two), Tech III (three), Tech IV (four)

Knowledge & Skills

Principles of growth and development across all ages from newborn to geriatric
Radiation protection and professional judgment in imaging procedures
Mammography techniques including breast needle localization and stereotactic biopsy
CT protocols with venipuncture, contrast adjustments, sterile technique, and tele-radiology
Patient care assessment and adaptation for diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
