Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient status, report changes to the care team, and escalate concerns
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper clinical documentation
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers
- Promote infection control, patient safety, and a respectful care environment
Qualifications
- Valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license for the state of Georgia (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Clinical experience in a hospital or similar acute care setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to handle 12.5-hour shifts and maintain high standards of patient care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Basic wound care and IV/line awareness
- Time management, prioritization, and teamwork under busy conditions
