Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver technical nursing care to residents using the nursing process with compassion and clinical competence
- Function as an active member of the nursing team under RN supervision and collaborate to deliver safe, person-centered care
- Assume the charge nurse role as needed to coordinate unit activities, prioritize patient needs, and support staff
- Document resident status and interventions accurately using facility computer systems
- Monitor residents, report changes to the RN, and help implement care plans that improve outcomes
Qualifications
- Current California LVN license (required)
- Graduate of an approved LVN program with an associate degree or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an LVN
- Comfortable acting in a charge nurse capacity when called upon
- Proficient with basic computer documentation and electronic charting
Education
- Graduate from an approved LVN program (Associate's degree or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to apply the nursing process
- Skilled in patient care within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Clear written and verbal communication to coordinate care
- Ability to plan work, establish priorities, and remain flexible in a busy setting
- Computer proficiency for charting and documentation
Benefits
- Sign-on bonus: $5,000
- Pay scale with 30 pay increments to reward up to 30 years of relevant experience
