Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes in condition promptly
• Support activities of daily living including bathing, mobility assistance, and personal care
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Follow infection control protocols and promote a safe environment for residents
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama or eligible for Alabama licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and follow a rotating schedule (3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off)
• Must be able to pass facility background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Basic nursing assessments and vital sign interpretation
• Wound care and dressing changes typical for LPN practice
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention, falls prevention and resident safety practices
• Team collaboration, time management and prioritization during busy shifts
