Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across assigned shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately and timely
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility policies and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
• Monitor changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers, admissions, discharges, and patient education
• Maintain sterile technique, follow infection control protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (eligible to work in Rhode Island preferred)
• Active BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Ability to work the listed weekend rotation and consider double-shift opportunities as needed

Education

• Graduation from an accredited LPN or nursing program (LPN certificate/diploma or RN degree as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV/PO route familiarity (per your license scope)
• Electronic charting competency and accurate documentation practices
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
• Patient/family education and bedside manner that puts people at ease
