Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 8.5-hour shifts, schedule as assigned (start and end times vary by assignment)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and daily support to residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders
- Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to deliver coordinated care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning tasks
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Prior experience as an LPN in long-term care or similar setting preferred
- Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varied assignments
- Must be able to pass background check and required health screenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma
- State licensure as an LPN required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Comfortable performing assessments and documenting findings accurately
- Familiarity with wound care, ADL assistance, and common long-term care needs
- Good communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
- Basic electronic charting and recordkeeping experience
