Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in the ICU, prioritizing safety and best practices
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic and respiratory status
Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage complex ventilator settings as needed
Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Document all patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely
Respond rapidly to clinical changes and participate in critical interventions and code situations
Educate and support patients and families through critical care treatments and transitions

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (California required)
Critical care/ICU experience preferred
BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required based on unit policy
Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with critical care monitoring, ventilator management, and hemodynamic support
Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy for acute patients
Proficient with electronic charting and thorough clinical documentation
Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize urgent tasks effectively
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with families and care teams
