Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Weekend overnight, Friday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 32

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including echo and vascular studies to help physicians reach accurate diagnoses
Provide compassionate patient care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients while explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
Operate ultrasound equipment safely, maintain quality assurance, and document all exam data accurately in PACS
Respond to on-call needs efficiently and maintain infection control standards throughout every shift
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to deliver high-quality imaging and support optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Registry eligible or registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
BLS/BCLS certification required
Six months of ultrasound experience preferred
Ability to work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, PACS systems, and patient care protocols

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ultrasound and sonography techniques including echo and vascular imaging
Skilled in operating PACS and documenting exam data accurately
Excellent patient communication and positioning techniques
Strong attention to detail for interpreting images and recognizing critical findings
Ability to handle stressful situations and respond quickly in emergencies
