Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures following prescribed techniques and protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Adjust imaging equipment settings (voltage, current, time) and position immobilization/support devices to ensure accurate studies
• Prepare rooms and equipment, handle contrast material preparation, and ensure all supplies are ready for procedures
• Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of x-ray/CT rooms and equipment to maintain safety and performance
• Carry out quality control tasks and maintain required quality control reports specific to performed procedures
• Assist with diagnostic testing, troubleshooting and general equipment maintenance as needed
• Handle general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones and filing to keep the imaging department running smoothly
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patients and staff and follow safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training from an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification required (minimum of 6 months experience in CT required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI certification/experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (candidate must be willing to relocate to serve the community)

Education

• Formal radiologic technologist training from an AMA-approved program (radiologic technologist diploma/degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in Computed Tomography (CT) and general radiography
• Strong understanding of radiation protection and patient positioning techniques
• Experience with quality control and quality assurance reporting
• Comfort with equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Ability to prepare and handle contrast material safely
• Good communication, scheduling and administrative skills to interact with patients and staff
