Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures following prescribed clinical techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and adjust imaging equipment settings such as voltage, current and exposure time to optimize image quality
• Prepare imaging rooms and equipment, including positioning patients, arranging immobilization devices and prepping contrast materials
• Perform daily cleaning and routine diagnostic testing and maintenance on imaging equipment
• Execute quality control tasks and maintain quality control reports for procedures performed
• Provide excellent patient care by practicing radiation protection techniques and ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Handle general office duties as needed including scheduling, answering phones and coordinating incoming patients
• Participate in call assignments and respond professionally during off-hours coverage when required

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification required with a minimum of 6 months CT experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (required for this role)

• Radiation protection best practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Image acquisition and CT-specific imaging techniques
• Safe operation and basic maintenance of imaging equipment
• Quality control procedures and reporting for imaging modalities
• Patient positioning and effective patient communication
• Contrast material preparation and safe handling
• Scheduling and telephone communication skills for patient coordination
• General office skills including filing and coordination of incoming patients
