Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support patients with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote dignity and comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any significant changes to nursing staff
• Perform safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Support patient admissions, discharges, and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — California certification preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are encouraged to apply

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Basic infection control and PPE practices
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Effective documentation and basic familiarity with electronic charting
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
