Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and thoroughly to maintain clear resident records
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care plans
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Support residents with feeding, positioning, and safe transfers when needed
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification/license valid in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to provide direct patient care with compassion
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Immunizations and health screenings as required by facility policy
Education
- CNA certification required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic nursing assistant duties and patient safety practices
- Comfortable taking vitals and recognizing changes in condition
- Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Able to document care clearly and follow care plans
- Good interpersonal skills for building rapport with residents and families
