Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and basic clinical tasks
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and safe repositioning
- Document patient observations and communicate changes to the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Support family communication with empathy and professionalism
- Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (required; must be eligible to work in Pennsylvania)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
- Comfortable performing patient transfers and providing personal care
- Ability to pass background check and necessary pre-employment screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assistant skills: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
- Vital signs measurement and basic patient assessment
- Infection control and safety practices
- Accurate and timely charting and documentation
- Compassionate patient interaction and strong interpersonal skills
