Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, feeding and toileting with dignity and respect
- Document care accurately and timely in resident records
- Support safe transfers and maintain a safe, clean environment
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and family members to promote the best outcomes
- Participate in facility initiatives to improve quality of care and resident satisfaction
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania) required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and able to meet the physical demands of the role
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Previous CNA experience preferred but caring attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility and ambulation
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
