Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Support patient mobility and ensure safe transfers and positioning
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition, reporting concerns promptly to the nursing team
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality of care
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligible
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts as part of per-diem assignments
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Basic competency in vital signs, patient transfers, and infection control practices
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and required trainings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care routines
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
• Time management skills to balance tasks during busy shifts
