Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Perform routine clinical tasks accurately and document care in the chart
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Assist with clean, comfortable living environments and infection control practices
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
- Completion of facility onboarding and any required competency checks
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Reliable, compassionate demeanor with good communication skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe resident handling
- Strong observational skills and accurate documentation
- Familiarity with infection control and resident safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow care plans
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
