Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control procedures
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (state of Pennsylvania) in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire if required
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to work scheduled shifts
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
- Ability to accurately take and document vital signs
- Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
- Team player with good verbal and written communication
- Respectful approach to resident privacy and dignity
