Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure a safe, comfortable dining experience
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid CNA registry in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain state registration
- Comfortable performing hands-on patient care and following care plans
- Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Approved CNA training program completion and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and ADLs
- Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation practices
- Infection control procedures and safe handling techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
- Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with nurses and support staff
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
