Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered direct care including personal hygiene, feeding assistance, and mobility support
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs and routine observations, reporting any changes promptly
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents through daily care and documentation
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families by communicating respectfully and professionally
• Follow care plans and facility policies to ensure quality and consistent care
• Participate in team huddles and training to continuously improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive for scheduled shifts
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
• Previous long-term care or clinical experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care practices
• Ability to perform safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable documenting care accurately and following care plans
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Time management skills to prioritize resident needs during shifts
