Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care accurately and promptly in patient records
- Support family members and provide respectful patient advocacy
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or active enrollment in an approved CNA program
- Authorization to work in Pennsylvania and ability to pass background checks
- Current CPR or BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable with patient handling, transfers, and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to patient-centered care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Basic charting and electronic documentation comfort
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate bedside manner and attention to detail
