Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with routine tasks and follow care plans accurately
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection-control practices
- Document care activities clearly and timely to keep the care team informed
- Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and coworkers
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (must be eligible to work in Pennsylvania)
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to follow care plans and directions
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus but not always required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong basic patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
- Good communication and teamwork — you keep the care team informed
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Reliable documentation and time-management skills
- Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude under pressure
