Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, and toileting in a respectful manner
- Take and record vital signs accurately and alert nursing staff to any changes
- Document care and observations clearly and promptly in resident records
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, residents, and families to promote coordinated care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with resident mobility
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
- Ability to take and interpret basic vital signs
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills and resident-centered bedside manner
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
