Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers, following facility protocols
- Document care provided accurately and on time to maintain excellent resident records
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, home-like environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Background check and immunizations as required by facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude; prior long-term care experience is a plus
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and basic infection control practices
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and observing resident needs
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills to support residents and families
