Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility needs
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in resident condition
- Communicate observations clearly to RNs and the care team
- Support residents emotionally and promote dignity and independence
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Help with meal assistance and ensuring residents receive nutrition and hydration
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and reliability
- Previous long-term care or nursing home experience a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of resident-centered care and ADLs
- Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and observing changes
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good documentation and time-management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
