Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nursing staff with patient transfers and positioning
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient chart
- Observe and communicate patient condition and care needs to the team
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
- Build trust and rapport with patients and their families
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Active, unrestricted state registry status
- Willingness to complete a background check and health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
- Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads welcome
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential per PA requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and basic clinical skills (bathing, dressing, ambulation)
- Competence in taking/recording vital signs and observing changes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting with empathy
