Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes
- Assist nursing staff with resident transfers, mobility, and repositioning
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
- Document patient observations and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support residents' emotional well-being through respectful, person-centered interactions
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA preferred)
- Valid state-required immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and background checks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with personal care and resident assistance
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
- Familiarity with basic infection control and safety procedures
- Good documentation practices and clear communication with nurses and family
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
