Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility while preserving dignity
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to support individualized care plans
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment
- Support patient transfers and safe lifting techniques to reduce risk of injury
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain one
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort with hands-on patient care and working as part of a team
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent patient-centered care
- Prior experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong observational skills and ability to report changes in patient status
- Basic knowledge of vital signs, infection control, and patient safety
- Experience with ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
- Clear communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff
- Basic electronic charting or willingness to learn facility documentation systems
