Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and ambulation while following facility protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
- Help create a warm, home-like environment for residents and their families
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility tasks
- Clear background check, drug screen, and compliance with facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care skills and infection control practices
- Ability to take and document vitals accurately
- Basic knowledge of safe transfer and fall-prevention techniques
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
